WW2 Bomb Being Detonated In Munich

A 250-kg bomb from the Second World War was detonated, producing a fiery explosion in central Munich Tuesday night. About 2,500 residents as well as nearby businesses were evacuated before explosive experts detonated the rusty shell around 10 p.m. The sheer size of the blast created by the 60+ year-old bomb gives a humbling perspective on a war where thousands of bombs like this one were detonated weekly across Europe.
